The River Goyen

The charming river known as the Goyen has its source 36km away in Plonéis, in an old monastery. She takes water from Gourlizon, Pouldergat, Meilars and Poullan in the north, and Plogastel St Germain, Landudec, Guiler, Plozévet and Plouhinec to the south. The name of Goyen comes from the Breton word ‘Gwaien’ or ‘Gwaz’, meaning a stream.
