Discover Plouhinec

We drove along through the beautiful countryside without a care in the world. Suddenly one of Plouhinec’s sandy beaches appeared, the sun reflecting off the white golden sand and playing on the Bay of Biscay beyond. There is a nip in the air as we follow the path towards the small harbour of Pors-Poulhan and onward to the wide horizon.

465,000 years of heritage

The history of Plouhinec began … long ago ! 465,000 years ago in fact when man first discovered the secret of fire and drove out the mammoths. They never returned !

Life is what you make it

Life abounds here. From the ground up, in the hollows and paths, on the banks of the river Goyen, in the sea and also on the coast. Canoeing, wakeboarding, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, sea and river fishing, exploring rock pools and so much more…

Respect tradition

The natives have always retained their dual culture of crop cultivation and fishing. Every day, fishermen offload crabs, blue lobsters and many other fish which are immediately sold at auction in Plouhinec (Poulgoazec).

As more opportunities become available, the spirit is freer. Everyone here is able to do what they enjoy !
