  Confort-Meilars
  Doorway to the "Cap-Sizun"

The most striking aspect of Confort-Meilars is its exceptionally rich heritage, especially the famous ‘calvaire’ monument on the main road that shows the apostles. The neighbouring chapel, Notre Dame de Confort, dates from the 16th century and the church of Saint-Mélar is the oldest in the Cap-Sizun.

Confort-Meilars is a land of history and legend but also leisure, situated between two valleys where the waters of the River Goyen and its tributary, the Lochrist, run constantly. The countryside of Confort-Meilars lies in easy reach of neighbouring beaches, offering a range of walks to any visitor. Finally, the Festival of Four Bells (Le Festival des Quatre Clochers) that takes place on the first weekend of August, and the Horse Fair in September are both ‘must-see’ events.
